I always love reading Q&A's in magazines. It's a speedy and fascinating way to get insight into a person's life ... and what makes them tick. From now on we'll be posting the odd Q&A from Mathilda's Market stallholders from around the country, and from other personalities in the handmade/children's products industry - it's called our Getting To Know .... feature. I hope you enjoy reading these little features as much as I do - I get quite excited when they land in my inbox!
As you've probably read on this blog, we're enormously enthusiastic about the debut of Mathilda's Market in a new Canberra venue - the utterly luxe Hyatt Hotel - on Sunday 28 February. It's here you'll be able to check out the wares of today's featured stallholder - Corrie from Retro Mummy. You can also see the Retro Mummy range at Mathilda's Market in Sydney at the Paddington Town Hall on Saturday 6 March.

Getting To Know ... Corrie from Retro Mummy
I am passionate about ... cute Japanese fabric
I get frustrated when ... I have to wait for things. I have no patience!
I started my business ... because I couldn’t buy the really gorgeous Japanese fabric I wanted to sew with.
If handed $100,000 in an envelope and instructed to spend it however I pleased, I would ... open up a lovely big Japanese craft store in Sydney.
If I could be anywhere right now I’d be ... shopping in Tokyo.
I am most proud of ... my three gorgeous children.
I think the biggest obstacle our kids will face in the future is ... the environment, and owning a home in Sydney!
My favourite item from our product range is ... everything from Puti de Pome
My heart sings when ... my 3 year old tells me I’m the best mummy/cook/sewer in the world!
The hardest part of running my business is ... never having enough time to do everything I’d like to do
I love sipping on ... champagne (it doesn’t happen very often)
A person I admire greatly is ... Martha Stewart for inspiring people to cook, craft and make their little part of the world beautiful!
The best part of my day is ... when everyone is asleep, floors are cleaned, kitchen is closed and I can start making things.
My favourite food is ... Japanese
I struggle with ... keeping my 1 year old twins out of everything they shouldn’t be in!
Friendship to me means ... the people who are there for me and love me for me
I just can’t live without ... my computer, my camera, my coffee and my children
