Meet Jayne from Pipsqueek at Mathilda's Market in Adelaide TOMORROW, Saturday 3 July!

I am passionate about …  Pipsqueek of course! And all things felt & fabric, my two girls, my man, and life. (Not necessarily in that order!)

I get frustrated when … Supplies are low or unavailable

I started my business because … I saw a big gaping hole in the market, I was desperate to stay creative, and I’m trying really hard not to return to a 9-5 job once the kids go off to school.

If I could be anywhere right now I’d be … On a yacht somewhere much warmer and sunnier than it is here!

I am most proud of … Persisting with my dream.

I think the biggest obstacle our kids will face in the future is … Appreciating nature and the simple things in life, and learning to turn off technology.

My favourite item from our product range is … Too hard to choose! But my top three include the ‘Emma May’, ‘Cheeky Monkeys’ & my latest creation, ‘SpaceMan’.

I love listening to ... Florence and the Machine (especially when my girls sing along to her in the car) and my girls laughing together.

My heart sings when … People love and appreciate what I create

The hardest part of running my business is … Not having a studio or office to work from. My work space is also our kitchen, dining table and lounge room.

I love sipping on … Rockfords Alacante Rose

The best part of my day is … Completing a canvas or receiving an order

My favourite food is … Anything with an Asian influence

I struggle with … Balancing full time motherhood with starting a business and managing to keep the house clean at the same time!

Friendship to me means … Loyalty, laughter and love

I just can’t live without … Sharp scissors, felt, fabric, a pencil and my sketch pad.
