Curtain raising: this weekend's Mathilda's debut in Marryatville and Paddington!

Cities of churches and harbours - Mathilda's time is here!

Sydney hosts its first Mathilda‘s Market for 2010 this Saturday 6 March. And it's a Market that the Mathilda's team is eagerly anticipating, as it's our first ever at the Paddington Town Hall! (We'll be back at Lane Cove in May). Now what's really quite special about this Market is while we have oodles of wooonderful retailers from NSW setting up shop with us, there's also a sizeable contingent from other states who are crossing borders and heading cross country to bring us their beautiful wares - Gelati Art, Eyetribe, Miller & Harry, Les Folies and White & White, just to name a few. There will be almost 60 stalls in all - and we're sure it will be a divine day! Oh and to those planning to leap from their warm beds early on Saturday, the effort may just be worth it as the first 100 shoppers through the door will score an exclusive showbag from Paperklip. JOY! Here's some of the creators you'll find in Paddo on Saturday:

White & White

Miller & Harry

Paperklip

And if you want to check out enticing products such as these pictured below, Mathilda's Market in Adelaide (at the Loreto College to be precise) is JUST where you should be this Saturday!

Who doesn't love a good celebration, and the mood will most certainly be celebratory as we launch ourselves in picturesque Adelaide this weekend.  While it won't be a huge Market in terms of stallholder numbers (being our first SA event), we know shoppers will enjoy the intimate occasion. PS. The free jumping castle and face painting will have the littlies grinning from ear to ear!

Enjoy your weekend!

Hi, I don't know if this is the best place for this comment but a Coffee van would have been perfect at the Adelaide market as we would have loved one as would have quite a few of the ladies I saw there. Otherwise a brilliant first market. Well done.

Not sure if my comment also in the right place, did speak to an organiser at the venue....the venue location was terrible! A bigger location is a must, as I personally did not get to peruse all the stalls due to the tightness of people/prams/kids. I had my heels knocked by numerous (apologetic!) mums, and felt very lucky that I had only taken my 5 year old and left my baby at home, otherwise I would have been one of those mothers! Parking an obvious issue, but paled to comparison of the inside venue in my opinion. The stalls I was able to view (and purchase from) were divine. Agree with the above comment re coffee van!

Thank you for the feedback, we will definitly take the comments into account for next time! Yes we were a little overwhelmed with shoppers in Adelaide (thank you all for coming), so I apologise if it was a bit of a squeeze. We will keep you posted about our next Adelaide Market and how we can create more space. Cheers
Anne!
